« Border crossing point n°6, Jelsane, Republic of Slovenija ». This border crossing point is between Slovenia and Croatia, it’s called an outside borderline of Europe. A broom sneaks out of an open door. A washerwoman comes after it. We follow her. « The outside borderlines may only be crossed at the passing points ». The woman washes the cabin windows. While doing so, she assures a clearer vision to the customs officers who guard the frontier. The woman moves along this imaginary line, while the axis of the eye crosses it. The frame locks her up. It changes at every shot. But where on earth is the edge of the frame, the end of the shot, the edge of eyesight and the end of Europe ?
